eleaf istick 30w

The Eleaf iStick 30W has the usual clean and tidy packaging with:

  • 1 X 30W iStick (2200 mAh)
  • 1 X EGO Adapter
  • Manual
  • USB Charging Cable

For those familiar with the 20W device then looks wise there are only slight changes. The good news is that the changes are an improvement. The most noticeable is the top plate plinth that has been added to accommodate tanks upto 23 mm without any overhang. This is a subtle but great addition. The iStick now looks the business with the Subtank Mini and even lets the Atlantis 2 sit flush on top even though the latter still kind of dwarfs the device itself.

The power and function buttons are seated either end of the OLED screen. They are also super simple to use. If you are a new user you should have no issues getting to grips with this easily.

The 30W iStick can be used with 0.4 Ohms upto 5 Ohms, the latter of which I can’t see being used anytime soon. This simply means that we can now use sub ohm tanks with the box mod which opens up a new way of vaping for many.

The Good:
Small build sits perfectly in the palm of the hand making it easy to take out and about.
Very respectable 2200 mAh battery life.
Simple to use.
Lock function.
Can seat tanks up-to 23mm without overhang

EGO adapter included.

The Not So Good:
Nothing that comes to mind.

SMPL Mod

The SMPL mod is a champ. Plain and simple. It is one of the hardest hitting mods out there, could not be any easier to setup and start using, and looks great.
The SMPL has a hybrid connection, which means your atty connects directly to the battery. That being said, you need to make sure that any atty you use on it has a contact pin that protrudes from the 510 threads. IF YOU DO NOT CHECK FOR THIS YOU WILL CAUSE A HARD SHORT AND VENT. YOUR BATTERY.
Adjusting for battery rattle could not be easier. Stick your atty on, insert your battery, and screw the switch down until it is finger tight.
I personally love the flush look that you get when you pair the SMPL with a 22mm atty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great mech mod.

The design of the cherry bomb to me is some-what simple, which I think is great. There isn’t tons of buttons to worry about and you don’t have to dial in settings. It’s simple, drop in the battery, screw on the head unit, atomizer and then vape away. It’s seemingly fail proof in the land of mods. The button has this nice clicky feel to it, nothing fancy and I doubt it was the intention going back even to the bombshell – It just works. A huge upgrade to this device though is that it has a drip well, something that I think should have been implemented on the bombshell to begin with. It’s nice to see Hot Vapes is always looking for a way to improve in its design. The outside, a silver bare metal machined look has a nice looking reflective shine to it, along with its smooth surface.

The cherry bomb’s size is the key feature. It offers the same punch you get from a much bigger mod, yet it’s size is comfortable enough to lug around with you outdoors. I tend to not bring any of my mods with me when I go out of the house, instead I take a much smaller e-cigarette like an eGo style or stick style. The hassle of carrying around say something like the bombshell when you’re out and about isn’t the best. You have this big mod budging out of your pocket and the looks you get while at your son’s baseball game isn’t settling for the little ones. The cherry bomb is small, easy to conceal and has a stunning look.
